There is the narrative, apparently believed and promoted by many of our fellow citizens, that Trump may be a flawed and imperfect person and his methods may be harsh, but he is speaking the hard truths and making the hard changes that are necessary to make America great again.  The narrative appears to be supported by Trump's recent claim to have brought an end to the war in Gaza.  Let us hope and pray that this is true.  But let us remember that tyranny is still tyranny: a positive accomplishment on the world stage cannot justify the ruination of our democracy.  Trump and his administration continue to illegally and unconstitutionally abuse the power of the executive branch of our government to punish and suppress dissent and suppress the voting power of the citizens.  It is becoming more and more clear that the Great America Again that is sought, is the White Christian Supremacy of the past --and a little bit of tyranny is what it takes to make America Great Again.   But Tyranny is Tyranny, and it is clear that our flawed and imperfect leader is leading the country to a very flawed and imperfect place.  The White Christian Supremacy of our past is the flawed and imperfect past that we were making progress to overcome before Trump.  If we are ever to live out the true promise of our democracy, we must continue our struggle to become a truly multi-racial, equal justice, democracy that respects the voice and dignity of all people.  Please continue to promote this petition as an expression of our rejection of Trump's flawed and imperfect vision for our country.
