When the independent truckies were under fire from government, a government bent on forcing them to accept price control, we in General Aviation (GA) felt immediate sympathy. How amazing, price control is illegal, and doesn't work, but was mandated by Big Government. They are out of touch and the bureaucrats are running show, rule by regulation instead of rule by law.
The only thing that stopped this, saving the truckies, was a public outcry including a successful Change.org petition. The pollies only stepped in after we made enough noise.
If you're not directly involved in GA, but might notice that you rarely see a light plane these days, we want help from anyone who understands small business. We are a modern growing nation with more need for flying and the perfect country for it. One thousand kilometers of road will take you from A to B. One thousand runways, each one kilometer long, gives you access to an uncrouded super highway to just about anywhere. With no traffic lights or speed cameras.
All we want is simple rules, like the road rules, There's just enough GA left to grow jobs and businesses, given a fair go. It's becoming clear that our shrinking industry is part of the wider problem, government has got too big and the MPs don't know what's going on. Thanks for your support.
