ARYA Pets, Jennice Durán and WUFAW embarked in the rescue and rehabilitation of vietnamese pigs that had been abandoned in Caño Martin Peña and Cantera in Puerto Rico. After rescuing 125 pigs, establishing pens for them, securing medical care, food and making arrangements for the spay and neutering of the animals, the USDA, US Wildlife Removal Services are now not only DISMANTLING the project but getting ready to KILL the animals, starting with the ones that were rescued (because they are already in pens). We ask the Governor and First Lady of Puerto Rico to reconfirm their commitment  to animal welfare and the community by putting a STOP to this outrage. This rescue and rehabilitation project is worthy of respect and support and could serve as an example of community empowerment and participation. It should not be destroyed.
