Can we reach 1,000 signatures?

Premier Chris Minns must address the actions of NSW Police and apologise for the treatment of peaceful Muslim protesters, including those who were engaged in worship.

We cannot allow incidents like this to pass without scrutiny and accountability. When conduct that affects the right to peaceful protest and religious expression goes unchallenged, there is a risk that it gradually becomes normalised.

We have already seen growing concern about the normalisation of anti-Muslim rhetoric in Australian public life, including rhetoric associated with Pauline Hanson. We should not allow Islamophobia or the mistreatment of any religious community to become acceptable.

Please sign and share this petition. Every signature helps demonstrate that Australians expect accountability, equal treatment and respect for the right to peaceful protest and worship.
