Anti-Muslim hate from politicians must be held accountable. It has become far too easy for public figures to target the Muslim community for political gain. Pauline Hanson was not the first to do so, and she will not be the last.

We are witnessing a troubling rise in hostility directed toward Muslim communities. When leaders normalise this rhetoric, it sends a dangerous message and deepens division.

We must take a stand.

NSW Premier Chris Minns should apologise for the actions of police against peaceful Muslim worshippers. Accountability is essential to maintaining trust and protecting community cohesion.
