*** ~ PLEASE SHARE WIDELY ~ *** Yes, the Black Cap Foundation is to use an Unauthorised Sales Brochure to run a Law of Attraction Marketing Campaign! Are we mad? How can we sell what we do not own? Here is the thinking from Saturday's team meeting and how the Law of Attraction Campaign will work in our favour. Ruth and Robinson's retreat last week must have been an unholy shock to Kicking Horse, though hardly unexpected, and again leaves their plans in disarray. But campaigners all are firmly on the front foot. So rather than wait around for events, we are building on our lead, by using this Brochure to pubicly stake out our position first. The Brochure is written in an Estate Agent way, and talks about the Pub and its legal status, and our very positive community. (Plus if any legal eagle from the other side complains our Brochure is unauthorised, we just reply, 'Yup, we said it was!'.) The business opportunity is shown, and we know we can deliver. The Brochure uses the Law of Attraction to talk to the as yet unknown ideal partners out there who might be interested (rest assured, they are out there), by showing who the pub will be attractive to the most, and promotes the fact they will be engaging with a positive and friendly community, and a business focused Foundation to smooth the way to opening. This bit is important - we are business focused, friendly, and co-operative. Financially, this is a really good deal for a PubCo desiring to work with a big community. But the Brochure also has a very important piece of small print, guaranteed to give property agents and developers with alternative unwanted ideas a hint of the future nightmares they will face if they even try to mount a bid for the Pub. Firstly, because we want to promote the advert so every time over the next few months, someone googles 'Black Cap Pub for sale', up will come our very positive Sales Brochure stating whom we want to hear from. Secondly, any unscrupulous property agent trying to sell the place as other than what it is to the wrong people (one or two whom we all know well), will hit a brick wall when their would be client comes back and asks them why they never mentioned our brochure, campaign, and news coverage. Thirdly, we know after 17 months of no cash, Kicking Horse Ltd have absolutely got to get cash coming in from the Pub now, so they have little option but to direct their property agent to look for the right clients. And that job will be made much easier, because the potential right sort of client will see for them, a tailormade and very welcoming advert from a large community. That's the Law of Attraction working. And of course, our Brochure may well trigger interest before the property agent finds anyone. Three more things to say. We are updating the current business plan to give to prospective consortia and partners. We'll do a bundle of Ad + Business Plan + Our Vision + The Black Cap Reprised and Survey (all current versions available at weareblackcap.com) to give to them. We will host another Town Hall Meeting and Campaign Update, this time likely in Camden Town Hall (Nigel has excellent contacts). Keep an eye out for the date and time. We have run out of flyers and they need rewriting to include mention of the Brochure anyway, so we'll have a new set to share in the next 14 days.
