As some of you may be aware, after over 2 years of letter-writing and numerous promises to remove the now-infamous statue of Gandhi from the University of Ghana premises, the statue has still not been removed. While we continue to exhaust all available means to urge the Government of Ghana to honor its promise to have it removed, we also would like to ask you to support our sister movement in Malawi, which was inspired by ours in Ghana and others throughout the world. ***Note that the Gandhi Must Fall: Malawi petition incorrectly states that the statue of Gandhi has been removed. It is still right here on campus despite popular opinion and the word of the Government.***
