The decision to close off Bristol Bridge, Baldwin street and some of the access to the city centre is beyond a joke!  The reasons stated for doing so are to help with pollution and social distancing which are ludicrous to say the least!  The diversions make everyone's journey's longer therefore spending more time in the vehicles, creating MORE pollution.  The roads have been closed to make "bus gates", are people going to be using these "bus gates" whilst social distancing and risk getting splattered all over the road?  Obviously not. 

Local businesses have suffered enough over the past 6 months and this will be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of them.  A local property maintenance company has cancelled it's support contract to all the buildings in that area as they cannot access it without making long diversions and cannot always park. A catering company is having huge difficulties in accessing clients premises and the galleries car park is now a massive headache to reach, these are a few examples of many!

Marvin Rees and BCC have a lot to answer for and we, the residents of Bristol shouldn't accept these changes.  They have made a big enough mess of the traffic situation over the years in our great City.  PLEASE SUPPORT THIS PETITION AND SIGN & SHARE.
