We confirm that the contractor (PLEM) is packing and vacating the premises where the Gandhi statue was going to be erected. They are currently loading pavers onto a truck which is a sign that the project has come to an end!!

We thank each and everyone that took their time to sign this petition because that is what kickstarted this campaign. Your signatures helped this campaign immensely that it became a global issue and essentially, that is what led to the government to respond to this petition.

It is time for us as citizens of Malawi to stand up for what is right because politicians in this country have been abusing their power for far too long. They are many issues that we need to confront in this nation and we hope you will support those when the time arises.

We also thank our sisters and brothers outside of Malawi who took interest in this issue by signing the petition on our behalf. Continue helping others regardless of border restrictions so we can make the world a better society. 

As of now, we have a hearing at court on the 12th of November and we will update how that will go.
