Puppy mills are facilities where dogs are bred on a massive scale. The animals health and well being is overlooked by the profit they bring in. The animals are shoved in small overcrowded cages where they have very little mobility and develop many health issues such as malnutrition, infections, worms, and contract many other diseases. Often times the animals are bred with other members of the same litter or family which causes terrible genetic issues and is flat out inhumane. Many of these animals never leave these facilities and spend their whole lives living in cages.

Pets are much more than animals, they are our family. They should have the same basic right to live a long cruel free life just as any other animal on this planet. I'm speaking up for this cause because the cruelty towards these animals needs to end. Ending puppy mills will not only resolve this cruel treatment of animals but it will drastically decrease the population of stray dogs and cats which makes our community safer, cleaner, and happier.
