The House of Lords have passed the bill to make misogyny a hate crime!!

This is a MASSIVE win for women and and for making the streets a safer place!!

Huge thanks to you all for your support!

Both Lord Cookham and  Baroness Kennedy-who tabled the amendment- have just emailed to inform me of the result and to say we got a mention from Lord Cookham as promised!

I've attached the Hansard.

It seems there is another bill relating to sentencing- will ask for more clarification tomorrow- before deciding whether we need to keep going with this.

The proposals in the online safety Bill will future-proof the legislation, and address anticipated, longer-term changes to the architecture of the internet, by enabling the regulator to require alternative third parties to carry out blocking measures.
