Keep Lucas Charlie Rose in Canada

What does it mean to be Canadian?
If it means helping your community and trying to be a leader, then you are definitely looking at someone like Lucas Charlie Rose. Lucas Charlie Rose is a dynamic individual. In his 8 years in Canada, he has managed to become a leader in both the black and queer communities of Montreal, Quebec, so that black and especially trans individuals are shown the respect and dignity that everyone deserves.
He has given dozens of workshops on anti-racism and inclusivity. He has also organized dozens of events and performed for various community organizations. Written about on an international scale in such publications as, AFROPUNK, and CBC, he has continued to shine and bring Canada to a world stage to make this country better.
Currently, Lucas is facing deportation from Canada back to his birth city and country, Paris, France. What this means is a two-fold loss. It would be a loss for Canada to lose such a courageous individual who continually tries to provide for his community. Someone who pushes others to rise to their best. It would be a loss for Lucas to have to return to a very uncertain future in France. This is a country where many trans people have non existent or extremely hard to find health care. Coupled with the segregation and discrimination faced in France as a trans person of colour, makes for a bleak forecast for Lucas if he were to be sent back.
