The Public Submission has been sent to the Hall of Fame!

Hello there, Lorne supporters!
It's been a while since my last update and I sincerely hope you're all well and happy.
I've been purposefully quiet when it came to the public awareness initiative because a) the very idea of a public demonstration got quickly recontextualized in the cultural eye with February's convoy protests. and b) the Ukraine invasion put some things into perspective: petitions and social campaigns ought to be utilized for more substantive, humanitarian causes. To push this campaign on social media felt like I would be doing more harm than good.
With all of that said, I put all my creative eggs into the basket of the Hall of Fame Public Candidate Submission, where the only audience is the 18 member committee led by Mike Gartner.
Today's a special day, as I submitted the Lorne Chabot submission packet a little over an hour ago!
I worked with Lorne's granddaughter Lauren, who provided some amazing resources and provided some fascinating newspaper clippings and records from his days in the 7th Brigade during the first World War.
So now we wait! I will keep you posted if anything neat happens between now and when any Class of 2022 announcements are made!
Now I'm gonna take a nap for 15 hours. - Mike xo
