In the last couple of days, eleven Christians were accused of blasphemy in Islamabad, and a teenage boy was beheaded by Taliban in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. What carried us through it was the news of a possible progressive alliance in Pakistan, the growing signatures on this petition, and your reasons for signing it. Your reasons (find them at the bottom of this page) for signing this petition are profound and passionate, showing us our deeply felt need for a secular, non-violent and peaceful environment in Pakistan. Reading them made us ever more determined to get to our goal of reaching 100,000 signatures. As well, the following two things became clear. First, if your words can inspire us, they can inspire others. So, the suggestion is to quote you in support of this petition in Secular Pakistan posts on Facebook, blogs and other social media. If you do NOT want to be quoted, with or without your name, send an urgent message at the email address below. No message by December 30th means we can go ahead with it. Second, to reach our goal of 100,000, we need consistent outreach and promotion for the coming three to four months. Putting together a team of 20 volunteers to work for 20-30 minutes each day from January to April 2015, will bring this petition to more and more people.
