There are 69 million people in Thailand. If we got 69 million people worldwide to support this petition, it might just make a "newsworthy" story in media terms. Might potentially make headlines that even the Thai government couldn't ignore.  Let's shine a giant international spotlight on the hideous suffering of poor Gluay Hom and others like him while bureaucrats look the other way and the citizens of the country evidently just shrug and walk on by. Our strength is in the sheer numbers of us who care and are committed to persevering until some action is taken.
