Success through advocacy

Thank you all for your support. The petition was shared on social media over 1000 times,  I have no doubt that those of us advocating with family in long term care were finally heard.  The health authorities as of April 1st are opening up facilities and hopefully all homes will comply. This had gone on much longer than necessary. Seniors, staff and essential visitors were vaccinated weeks ago. 
i dont agree that it should take 4 months to receive the second vaccine for essential visitors but perhaps that may speed up. I continue to propose that every senior must never be isolated like this, ever again, even if outbreaks occur. The isolation has been very, very harmful to seniors and families. It is unfair how the application and qualifying to be essential is handled.  Hopefully that will change as well.
