This morning we submitted detailed legal submissions and a medical report regarding Myrtle to the Home Office. The findings of the medical report are significant - they show that Myrtle is suffering from severe depression and severe anxiety in particular since she was told that she was at risk of removal. The medical report also shows that due to her specific circumstances including physical and emotional vulnerability she would be at a heightened risk of dying within 3 months of her removal to South Africa. The medical report clearly means that removing Myrtle would be in breach of her human rights - and, in light of Myrtle's health - we have been calling on the Home Office to take a decision as soon as possible. We are immensely grateful for your amazing support for Myrtle which made all the difference and would be grateful if you can keep circulating the petition to keep up the pressure on the Home Office. If you have written to your MP, it would also help if you can ask your MP to contact the Home Office to ask them to take a decision on her case promptly. Thank you SO much for your immense and mindblowing support. Your support is making ALL the difference!
