As the author of this petition I need to clarify some facts about the update Change.org circulated earlier today featuring another article in the Daily Express suggesting that Myrtle had been granted temporary leave to remain subject to reporting on a monthly basis. The Daily Express article is not factually correct in that Myrtle has NOT been granted leave to remain or any sort of reprieve from her situation. The Home Office letter referred to in the article is in fact a letter requiring requiring Myrtle to report to the Immigration Authorities on a monthly basis. She continues to remain liable to be detained and removed at any point. Myrtle needs you now more than ever.
