As you all know, the Golden Globes is tonight. The HFPA refuses to acknowledge the autism community which further proves its disregard for our wellbeing and wishes. To make matters worse, it has come to the public's attention that there are ZERO black members in the organization. We cannot keep celebrating elitist organizations like the HFPA. I hope all of you will boycott the show tonight. I want to take the time to tell you all what you can do to show your support of the minorities being oppressed.

1) Boycott the movie and the award show

2) Don't positively engage with any Golden Globes content, i.e. don't like, watch or share any videos or photos from the awards. Do engage by commenting as much as you can on all their posts on social media. Instagram: @goldenglobes, Twitter: @goldenglobes, Facebook: Golden Globes. Let's flood their feed.

3) Comment on the social media of those involved asking them to address it and do better (I do not condone bullying. Stick to the facts!)

DO SUPPORT organizations such as The Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN) and CommunicationFIRST.

7) Watch and share the video LISTEN Movie by CommunicationFIRST, which is a short film made by and with nonspeaking autistic people.

8) Stop supporting Sia. Don't separate the art from the artist. This will enable future destructive actions.

10) Take a moment to thank yourself for the work you are doing to support the autism community. The Golden Globes may not have rescinded its nominations, but look at how many people have rallied together to stop it. We are not alone, we will not stop fighting, we WILL have a better future.
