Stop the planned demolition of the disused Marquis of Lansdowne Pub
The Issue
Because it is a beautiful victorian building - an old east end pub that survived the blitz - which is being knocked down in order to make way for a new extension to a museum dedicated to celebrating the history of local life and industry.
For the architects it is a case of making life easy for themselves; for our heritage yet another historical building bites the dust and London's rapidly changing East End is further homogenised.
Lets get David Chipperfield Architects - a brilliant bunch - to rethink their plans, they're more than capable.
