The Forgotten Three: Stop Letting Our Favorite Franchises Die
Das Problem
We, the gamers, have been robbed.
We have been robbed of our stories. We have been robbed of our favorite worlds. And we have been robbed of the pure, unadulterated joy of gaming that made this industry great in the first place.
There was a time when the gaming industry was driven by passion, innovation, and a desire to deliver unforgettable experiences to players. A great first game led to a second, and an epic trilogy perfected the art form. Those days are gone. Today, the boardrooms of major publishers are ruled by nothing but naked, corporate greed.
Locked Away in the Vault of Corporate Greed
Whether it’s Electronic Arts, Valve, Activision, Ubisoft, or Microsoft – the strategy is always the same: If a game doesn’t have the potential to drain players of hundreds of dollars through psychologically optimized in-game shops and battle passes, it is abandoned. It gets locked away in a metaphorical vault and left to rot.
It is no longer enough for these corporations to make a "normal" profit with an honest, good game. They are all chasing the exact same live-service billion-dollar formula. The result? We get pushed into the tenth generic battle royale, while true masterpieces are left to die.
Our Communities Will No Longer Be Ignored!
We demand an end to this disrespect toward the fans. We demand that iconic franchises finally get the sequels they deserve – without pay-to-win mechanics, without predatory monetization, but as true, full, high-quality gaming experiences.
We are talking about millions of players worldwide who have been waiting for years for any sign of life from their absolute favorite series:
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3/4 – Canceled because a fair, humorous family shooter didn't generate enough continuous profit.
Titanfall 3 – Sacrificed just to push players into the in-game store of Apex Legends instead.
Half-Life 3 & Portal 3 – Completely ignored by Valve for decades because their Steam platform effortlessly prints billions of dollars without them making games.
Star Wars Battlefront 3 – Suddenly abandoned mid-lifecycle after the abrupt end of support for Battlefront 2.
The Evil Within 3, Deus Ex, Left 4 Dead, Prototype, Banjo-Kazooie – The list of unfinished masterpieces is endless.
Why We Are Starting This Petition
This petition might not force EA or Valve to invest hundreds of millions of dollars overnight. But it is our loud, unmistakable statement. We want to show the gaming industry and gaming media worldwide, black on white, how massive the market for these games actually is. We want to show them that we are sick and tired of soulless cash cows.
Sign this petition if you refuse to feed greedy corporations anymore. Sign this to show that the gaming community is alive, remembers, and is ready to fight back.
Teach these corporations how to count to THREE again!
