This petition is so The Football Association will recognise the unofficial England women's World Cup team which was held in Mexico in 1971 (The Lost Lionesses).

14 Girls aged from 13 years old embarked on a journey to represent their country on their own in Mexico as Unfortunality The FA didn't recognise them as an England Women's Football team, They were young teenagers with dreams wanting to do something proud for their country, when the team arrived back to England some were even banned from playing football.

They came back from Mexico after representing England in front of 90,000+ fans to no fanfare, no cheering, no acknowledgement, people told them not to speak about it and act like it didn't happen.

We are asking the FA to recognise this special team as the first true pioneers of the Lionesses that paved the way for girls and women in this country to play our beautiful game today.
