Think of some of your own questions to bring to these forums whether you're a student, staff, faculty, or the public.
We suggest discussing:
- The budget cuts made in June which had a heavy impact on the arts
- The potential Evergreen Gallery closure because of those cuts
- The staffing cuts in the arts
We suggest asking:
- What is your opinion on the importance of the visual & performing arts and having a gallery, at a Liberal Arts institution like Evergreen?
- Will you be dedicated to preserving the arts at Evergreen and programs related to the arts?
- At previous institutions where you worked, were you ever involved in projects to find funding solutions for programs within the institution? If so, what were the solutions?
On another note,
We are also looking for any people interested in tabling at the TESC CAB for about 1-3 hours at a time to host a space for people to do letter writing to the provost discussing the importance of the Evergreen Gallery Program and why we should preserve it and fund it. We would provide you with all the supplies needed.
Let us know if you are available for a shift. You can just contact us with your availability and we would be happy to make arrangements for that to happen.
