I have been subjected to a lot since the passing of my sister, Sandra Dee Powell, October 4th, 2021. She was caring for our father who has early onset dementia. I have contacted NYC and Maryland political officials, Al Sharpton, and even Mayor Eric Adams.

When my father’s daughter, stole $7,863.00 from him, we confronted her, she deflected and denied it. But later, we found out that she had been arrested for the same crime some years previous. I connected with Adult Protective Services, hired a lawyer, and will continue engaging in Exposure of abuse.

The court stepped in because the one that robbed our father tried to get guardianship. When my sister Sandra, Sheila and myself were the only ones on our father’s Mental Health and Living Will via the VA hospital.

I am Joseph Powell Jr.’s oldest daughter, and the court appointed an agency, and the owner does not approve of me because, I challenged him on my birthday when he told me to go to a hotel, after traveling to see my father. My father began to yell at him, he did not like that and called the police on me. So the court then placed a “Restraining Order on me, I was unable to visit my father for 52 days. My father had called me so much, the judge told me not to answer any of his calls. (Documented in Restraining Order). On Saturday, July 30th, 2022, I went to visit my father and found out that the court had appointed this same individual that robbed our father (she called the police on me via the guardian), to care for him because the guardian stated my father’s funds had run out and he could no longer pay for care or pay himself. My father’s younger brother passed on Father's Day, and the court would not allow me to take my father to the service in South Carolina. Recently, they accidentally sent me a link for a court hearing, when I logged on I was informed I should hang up. As a Social Worker, Case Manager II,

I am a mandated reporter, so I report. They do not, Allow Me To Bring Him Out Of The State. And now, I have been summoned to a court hearing and issued an “Order of Protection”. Preventing me Once Again, from seeing my father, his birthday is August 26th at which time he will be, 89 years old. Recalling, February 8th, 2022, the judge forbid me to see my father for 52 days. What Kind Of Individual tells you, parents are important and then takes the steps to prevent you from visiting them it? ABUSE OF POWER!
