Supernatural: Apologize to your Jewish viewers

Supernatural: Apologize to your Jewish viewers
The Issue
The Supernatural episode that aired on 11/10/16, called "The One You've Been Waiting For," would have been horrifically offensive no matter when it was aired.
--It depicted the reincarnation of Hitler, who proceeded to brag about how many copies of Mein Kamf he'd sold and boast about how many Twitter followers he could have.
--It featured several Nazi characters, some portrayed sympathetically (just following orders!), while they only Jewish character was an old character brought back for one phone conversation, who was allowed no part in vanquishing his family.
--It included a conversation between a Nazi and his son who told us that the world needed Hitler to come back because millennials need a strong leader.
--It showed Nazis burning people to death and performing medical experiments on them, all actual techniques used in the Holocaust.
None of this was preceded by any sort of viewer advisory. And all of it aired two days after the election of Donald Trump as the president elect of the United States, and on the week of the anniversary of Kristellnacht.
At the very, VERY least, they should have postponed this episode. But this episode would have been traumatizing to Jewish viewers at any time.
The fact that this episode was written, shot, edited, and aired shows a blatant disregard for Supernatural and the CW's Jewish viewers and the Jewish community as a whole. It shows that we, a people who have survived so much, are not worth as much as their perceived entertainment value of bringing back Hitler so some non-Jewish characters, played by non-Jewish actors, in a show that so very rarely has any Jewish representation, can shoot him and brag about it and then let a Nazi go free because "they have a deal."
The CW needs to pull this episode from reruns and issue an immediate and sincere apology. They need to hire Jewish writers. Showrunners Andrew Dabb (who promoted the episode tweeting in German) and Robert Singer, writer Meredith Glynn (who referred to this episode as "fun" and a "breath of air") and director Nicole Lopez-Corrado need to be held responsible.
Until I see an apology and a promise to be so much more careful in the future, I'll be boycotting all CW shows, including the one I've been watching for twelve seasons.
Sincerely,
