The culturally impaired should be able to dress how they like

The issue

This petition is launched on behalf of a persecuted and dwindling minority group: party goers who just wants to dress up in clothes belonging to a culture that has expressly stated that it is inappropriate to do so. Even in the face of many official bans from festivals around the world, these individuals still hold firm to their beliefs and persists in their struggle.

We acknowledge that the world does indeed revolve around these individuals' right to dress as they please and that their desires unconditionally trumps any concerns for understanding, respect and reconciliation.

This petition recognises that offence is totally not intended and it is much easier for the offended party to just get over it. Their ancestors learned to give up their land, surely learning to not get offended is way easier.

Speaking of easy, by allowing these individuals to flourish guilt free we are also encouraging others to wear their cultural insensitivity on the outside too, no more pretending to care and for the rest of us to recognise them straight away.

These brave individuals reminds us that free speech isn't just for challenging injustice or oppression, but reinforcing it too. Please sign this petition today to let them know that you support their right to 'express' themselves.
