The city of Omaha is planning to cut down 25-30 healthy 75+ year old trees in the Field Club neighborhood in order to put in a 10 foot wide sidewalk down Pacific Street. They planned this project without telling a single person in the neighborhood, and without considering the impact this would have on those of us living on the street. Please sign the petition so the city can see how many people are against this, and tell them to STOP cutting down beautiful, mature and healthy trees unnecessarily. To us, it further displays a pattern of decision making that is short sighted, stubborn, budget minded, and unexposed to public opinion.
