We were not successful in having the $5000 fee of the Medical Cannabis Business Bylaw lowered.

We appeared with other concerned residents and business owners in Nelson in front of Nelson City Council on Monday to try and make a more positive impact on the Cannabis Business Bylaw before it was passed. Unfortunately we were not successful in having the $5000 fee lowered to $1000. The Medical Cannabis Business Bylaw and the Land Zone Amendment have passed as is and the cap of six medical cannabis dispensaries remains in place within the City of Nelson.
