Today is the big day! Thanks to you, the City of Laguna beach is aware that there are many people opposed to expanding the restrictions of fuel modification zones to 87% of Laguna Beach, which would result in a devastating loss of trees. 

If you haven’t written to the Council Members yet, please let them know how you feel. Send emails to CityCouncil@lagunabeachcity.net.

Tell the City to reject the proposed amendments to the Landscape and Scenic Highways Element, direct the Fire Department to create landscape management guidelines that respect the landscape character of Laguna Beach, encourage the preservation of Laguna’s trees and vegetation, and concentrate on maintenance guidelines and flexible approaches for plant placement and garden construction.
