Help change the dead space in the Bay Enterprise Square LRT Station's Retail Mall (which has been vacant since 1983) into a living space by converting the mall into Artist's Studios. It is such a simple fix to an old problem, the infrastructure is all in place already, it just needs a bit of tweeking. The cost to the City would be minimal ( subdivision of the existing spaces into smaller studio spaces ) and completely recoverable through the rental income generated by the studios.  The best part is that with Artists in place the public will follow and where the public goes businesses will soon appear, creating over time an 'Underground Arts Scene' complete with working artists cafes and galleries! So join me in putting a little 'Uptown" into Downtown by signing this petition to lobby the City Of Edmonton to find the political will make this happen.
