The purpose of this page is to organize the effort to Amend the Ashland Law KRS 242.1292 that limits the licenses that can be issued and what types of businesses can use them. If successful we could attract a brew pub, microbrewery, more restaurants, etc.

Imagine a microbrewery downtown, using hops grown in Greenup County and grain from a Boyd County farm. Imagine said brewery needed 30 construction workers to build it and 20 employees to run it. How about buying a delivery trucks from a local dealer and hiring truck drivers to deliver it. Imagine all those people eating lunch and shopping downtown while they are on their break or after work. Image they had a stage for live music (look at any saturday night at Callihan's) and comedy and poetry. Insert the rest of your imagination here.......
