MEMORIAL DAY: Pritzker ignores veteran deaths, extends COVID power

Tomorrow is Memorial Day and Gov. Pritzker has chosen to honor our fallen by avoiding blame for the deaths of 36 veterans at the state-run LaSalle Veterans Home last November. His appointee former State Rep. Linda Chapa LaVia ignored the home and allowed the veterans to die. Gov. Pritzker says he is all about the "science," but he appointed political hacks with no medical background and put them in charge of Illinois Veterans Affairs.
Just this week, Gov. Pritzker AGAIN quietly extended his 30-day emergency powers and no one in the mainstream media covered that. Why?
That's why our legal defense fund has filed lawsuits against Gov. Pritzker and his unconstitutional abuses of power. This week, our lawyers filed a lengthy response to Gov. Pritzker's lawyers, and the week prior, our lawyers were in court for a two-hour oral argument on the motion for summary judgment we filed against him. We are waiting for the judge's decision and are hopeful of victory.
But we need to do more. Gov. Pritzker INTENDS to keep the emergency powers that allow him to destroy people's lives and businesses. We must stand up to him - for our veterans and for our families.
Please make a donation of any amount to our GoFundMe campaign to help our legal defense fund at https://gofund.me/d07916ab and please share this message with friends and family.
