I just wanted to reach out to let you know we’ve just passed 1,226 signatures on our petition! Thank you so much for your support!

I can now tell you WHY I am so passionate about this. It is because I have WITNESSED people being evicted IN COURT - including a RN who works in a nursing home's COVID19 Ward - in VIOLATION OF the CDC Moratorium's Order. Even when handed a copy of the Moratorium, evictions proceeded in the Landlord's favor. Even when the Chief Magistrate ADMITTED their underling made errors, they DID NOT RESCIND THE EVICTIONS. Even after "apology from Raleigh", the evictions were NOT dismissed. Even after MY OWN Eviction case was dismissed OTHERS WERE NOT, in direct violation of the Moratorium. 

I've made the calls. I've spoken with the proper persons. I've lodged complaints. BUT the violators are STILL OVERSEEING CASES in THEIR COURTS, and STILL VIOLATING OUR RIGHTS! We NEED more signatures in order to get the attention of Governor Cooper, so that the CDC Moratorium can be EXTENDED PAST the Dec. 31 2020 expiration! NC has seen a MASSIVE SURGE in COVID19 cases recenty, and Landlords are STILL uncaring and UNWILLING to work with Tenants, even if the Tenants are under QUARANTINE (waiting for test results) or COVID19-Positive.THIS MUST STOP!!

I'm editing the Petition to reflect the current state of affairs regrding COVID19 and the violations in our Courts. And if enough of us SHARE and sign this, we won’t be ignored!
