The Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board has just voted in favor of killing all the wild horses currently in short term and long term holding, approximately 44,000 horses. The only NO vote on the Advisory Board was from Ginger Kathrens of the Cloud Foundation.

Being extremely fond of euphemisms, the BLM uses the term “euthanasia” which is incorrect.

.....This is in fact murder, not euthanasia.

These Mustangs are protected by Wild free roaming horses & burros Act 1971.   Behind closed doors they have modified & revised so they now have the power to kill the animals they feel are a problem on public lands.

If this was really about over population, there are alternatives, such as gelding stallions & rereleaseing.  This is about grazing competition.  

I feel this is a follow the money scheme.  Who makes a profit by killing our Mustangs?  Ranchers, ranchers that lease public land to graze cattle.  The Ranchers have come to believe this is their land and any animal that enters must die.  Horses, burros, wolves, cougars, bears, coyotes, anything a rancher sees as a threat.

Let's ring the bell loud & clear!  Tell the BLM we want our Mustangs & Burros to live free on our public lands.
