It is important that the poorest aren't exploited, simply to try and gain a viewership for a television company who are supposed to offer balanced entertainment for it's subscribers. Using the hard up as entertainment, and playing on their desperation is plain wrong and akin to the previously banned video show "bum fights"

The BBC is supposed to be representative of everyone, in a fair and even manner. Lowering their standards in this manner will only serve to ensure more people to abstain from paying their television licenses.
