The Briad Group, T.G.I. Fridays : Apologize to consumers who indulged in fake alcohol
The Issue
Operation Swirl exposed forgery by several restaurants including the large chain of TGI Fridays. Eight NJ locations have to pay over $500,000 in fines due to restaurant staff falsifying consumers into believing they were drinking premium liquor. Some findings stated rubbing alcohol was mixed with caramel food coloring to resemble scotch and dirty water was placed in a bottle. I am afraid more locations will possibly come under fire.
Consumers frequent TGI Fridays daily for good food and drinks. Friends, family, and coworkers like to get together to drink after a hard day. They want nothing short of the best. Unfortunately, we all have been duped. It is great Operation Swirl exposed them thus causing them to pay fines. I believe us consumers should receive an apology and/or restitution for their deceitful actions.
