In Texas it is illegal to opt out from saying the Texas pledge, in any other case this would be considered unconstitutional and would not have been made a law. But in Texas there was a loop hole found. It states that students may opt out if given written consent from their legal gaurdian. No one, no matter their age, gender, or race, should need permission to choose to recite a pledge. I find this unconditional and unfair to anyone who does want to opt out based on their beliefs
