Update on Same Sex Marriage - The fight for Justice & Equality in Bermuda The fundraising is going well in terms of funds raised to date. However, we need a wider base of donations. So far just 142 people have donated 30,836 pounds with an average donation of 217 pounds. If we can get 5,000 people to donate 10 pounds each, we can reach our next level target of 50,000 pounds. In talking with the legal team, it is felt that due to the fact that our legal challenge focuses primarily on the breach of the Bermuda Constitution, it is felt the legal fight may go all the way to the Privy Council. Should that be the case, the legal costs may well approach 1 million. WIDER BASE OF DONORS 100,000 people giving just 10 pounds will cover all legal costs.
