There is a serious hate campaign being conducted on some talk radio stations in Bermuda and indeed some of the preachers in Bermuda are talking in terms that are indeed hateful, shocking and are even demonizing same sex couples. Some posts on Facebook are rife with Ignorance and hate. The religious hate speaks for itself. It is more important than ever that Bermuda addresses this horrible and shocking treatment of same sex couples. HUMAN RIGHTS RECORD Bermudians have tried to appeal to the British Parliament regarding LGBT discrimination, prompting the Foreign Affairs Committee to recommend that the British government should take steps to extend human rights in the British overseas territories (BOT), for which Britain is ultimately responsible. Bermuda's human rights in general do not have a favorable reputation; In mid-2008, Bermuda was the only BOT to refuse to join a four-year human rights initiative organized by the Commonwealth Foundation.
