Who are kinship carers? We are a significant group of Grandparents, Uncles, Aunties, other relatives & friends known to the child, who are raising these children full time, often with no help. We are not recruited or trained prior to having these children placed in our care. As such we have lost our peer group, been ostracised by family and friends, and struggle daily with emotional, financial and health issues.
