Hello signatories and others,

Once again, our sincere thanks are due to everyone who has signed this petition and shared it for others to sign. This has enabled this cause to gain a major groundswell of support; with the number of signatures, as well as the encouraging comments from the community, serving to show the Authority and the council just how much we care about our heritage.

We are excited to be able to inform you that the Authority has agreed to hear a submission in which we will speak to this petition on behalf all who have signed. This will take place during its' usual monthly meeting, during the public input segment. We are still finalising the content of our submission, but we will be speaking to the history of the cross/star, what Mt Roskillians have said it means to them, and the support behind the petition.

This meeting will be from 4:00 PM on Monday, 6 May 2019 and will be held at  - 

The Reception Lounge, Level 2, Auckland Town Hall, 301-305 Queen St, Auckland.
