Through this petition, we the people of Alabama call upon our Attorney General to clarify the basis for the status of CBD oil: to either state the cause of its illegality, or to render a legal opinion stating it's legality. 

We also call upon the candidates for Governor of Alabama, Governor Robert Bentley and Dr. Parker Griffith, to state and commit their support for CBD access for Alabama's sick.

Access to CBD oil will benefit epileptic children and be a tool for sufferers of inflammmatory conditions.

CBD is non-psychoactive and is extremely safe, as evidenced by decades of research.

It is time that our government stop denying sufferers medical treatment that may help them.
