Continuing Atlantis is essential because the series ended on a massive narrative cliffhanger that left the most iconic elements of the legend—the voyage of the Argo and the quest for the Golden Fleece—entirely unexplored.

After two seasons of building Jason’s character from a lost outsider into a married king in exile, the story stopped just as he was finally stepping into his true mythological destiny. Beyond the plot, a conclusion is needed to resolve the moral tension established by the Oracle’s prophecy; fans deserve to see if Jason would succumb to his "dark" heritage and Medea’s influence or if he would successfully "rewrite fate" to stay with Ariadne.

Without a third season or a concluding special, the show remains a "hero's journey" with no destination, leaving a rich world of Greek "remix" mythology permanently unfinished and its loyal audience without the closure they were promised.
