Primarily in America we are fixated on 'things' that are tiny and adorable in appearance and overall cuteness. However when it comes down to the breeding of animals just to obtain the smallest size possible this becomes no longer 'adorable and cute' as this process now compromises the health of the animal. This type of breeding has been ongoing too long in the USA without penalty to the breeders responsible for this breeding process. When we as animal lovers becomes educated as to the extreme compromised health issues of these animals such as organs to small to function and bones too under developed to carry themselves along with the inability to breathe properly, it is imperative that we speak for the animals who cannot speak for themselves. These animals (primarily dogs) suffer and eventually succumb to severe pain and early death simply because their bodies were designed by greed with the ultimate goal of earning a high price tag for their tiny size. This has been allowed to happen here in the USA for far too long. It is time to put a stop to this type of breeding process and to make it a crime punishable by law which would fine and shut down these types of irresponsible breeders.
