Join Make Votes Matter in demanding action for real democracy!

The 4th of July marks a year since the most disproportional election result in British history.

It’s time to make it clear, we need politics that reflects the people it serves.

Across the weekend of 4-6 July, people up and down the country will take action to demand real democracy, aiming to reach at least 100,000 people.

• 6 in 10 people are represented by an MP they did not vote for. 
• We have a government elected on just a third of the vote, and Mayors who won with the backing of under 10% of their electorates.
• In 2029 there is a real risk we could wake up to a government that more than 7 in 10 people voted against.

Are you comfortable with one party speaking for Britain alone?

We won’t stand for this any longer. We need a voting system that builds trust, not destroys it.

We demand:

1. No more First Past the Post
2. A proportional system where seats match votes
