A new Caltrans’ Streetscape proposal is due out any day.  The LAST time, Caltrans proposed replacing the current two-lane blacktop highway with FOUR paved lanes: two for traffic and two for parking. (Gualala, a town of 2,100, already has over 600 off-highway spaces where 95% of the people park near the stores they visit.)
