Respected Sir/ Madam,

Thane urgently needs a separate animal crematorium or an official arrangement in human crematorium where dead animals can be cremated. Not everyone can afford to travel all the way to Mumbai to get their pets cremated. Also stray animals die each day, the bodies of which either end up in dumping grounds or Kalva creek. This is very dangerous for public health as the dead animal might be a carrier of zoonotic disease (disease which spreads from animals to humans). As a veterinarian it is my duty to not only think about animal health but also public health. Also stray animal feeders are blamed when a stray dog dies. Such incidences unnecessarily increase human - animal conflict. Kindly support this petition if you agree with the above mentioned facts.
