The Southwestern Ontario School Bus Operators Association (SOSBOA) covers one of the largest service areas in southern Ontario, serving 50,000 students in Thames Valley and London District Catholic school boards. Transporting between 65 and 70 kids twice daily through inclement weather and traffic, each of our drivers has a great responsibility to the kids of our communities, but they deserve a fair wage.

Drivers in the London area are paid about $14 per hour, current minimum wage in Ontario, while neighbouring districts like Windsor, Waterloo and Niagara pay $17 per hour, or more. The school boards, according to their own records, pay less per ride today than they did in 2008.

SOSBOA want to reach a deal before September 4, through mediation or arbitration. School boards have refused.

Sign the petition; encourage your School Board Trustee to return to the bargaining table. This petition will be mailed to all Thames Valley School Board and London District Catholic School Board Trustees.
