Under pressure from China, Thailand has repatriated a number of refugees back to China.  Two of the repatriated refugees had been granted refugees status by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) prior to their repatriation.

It is against the rule of the UN for a member state to repatriate any refugees who may be subjected to torture if they were to return to their country of origin.

China is now flexing its muscle not only economically and militarily but also extending its pressure outside of China in pursuit of anyone whom they deem to be critical about their President, Xi Jinping.

We cannot ignore this dangerous precedent of China pursuing human rights activists outside of China.  We must let the Prime Minister of Thailand know that the world is watching and that he must not repeat the same inhuman practice again.
