Thank you so much for supporting the campaign to reinstate the frequency of the W12 bus route. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support which shows how valued the service is and what an impact the change is already having on local residents. It certainly shows TFL the strength of local opinion on this.
Since we launched the petition in early December we have been busy following up with Redbridge Council, TFL and local MPs. Cllr John Howard, cabinet member for transport has written formally to TFL asking them to reinstate the former timetable. John Cryer MP and Stella Creasy MP have both written to TFL expressing their concerns. Just last week Redbridge Council unanimously passed a motion condemning the change and TFL have been called to speak at a scrutiny committee at the Redbridge Council on Wednesday.
We are arranging a formal handover of the petition to TFL and will send an update on that in due course.
Thanks for your support for this campaign to protect such a vital service. Please encourage friends and family to add their name.
Best wishes
Jo Blackman, Paul Donovan and Daniel Morgan Thomas, Labour council candidates for Wanstead Village
